I replaced a GTX 560 Ti with this card. The 560 is a great card, but the framerate can get low in some games with high settings. With the 670, I'm seeing at least a 30% improvement in the games I play. On the Heaven benchmark with settings maxed, the average framerate went from 27 fps to 49 fps and the min/max went from 7/71 to 25/126. It's built like a brick outhouse and runs quiet.

The price point on the 670 SC card should be $419 (as of May 2012), so wait until Amazon or another reputable seller has it in stock. The extra 20 bucks over the base card is because EVGA has overclocked it for you. Most enthusiasts will probably want the base card and overclock it themselves, but I'm lazy.

A note on EVGA. About a year ago, a fan died on one of my cards that was just out of warranty. I called EVGA, not expecting much. But the support guy I talked to immediately agreed to replace it for me. They also have a step up program to replace cards with newer models for 90... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great card, overclocks greatly., May 13, 2012

This card is great. I bought it release day, got it the next day and it clocked as specified in the item details, in fact it actually boosted over what it was advertised as. The great thing about this card, is not only does it play games amazingly smooth out of the box, it also overclocks big time to allow for even smoother gameplay without any additional cost to the end user. I was able to easily overclock the card to +120 mhz on the GPU clock offset and +200 mhz on the memory clock offset. These are using the EVGA Precision tool that comes with the graphics card. This allows the 670 to reach 680 performance for $80~ less than the 680. The 670 is the ultimate bang for your buck card this generation so far, don't even consider an ATI card with this at the $400 price point. I will be getting a second card when these drop in price, because with the performance as of right now there is no need for a second card at $420, but at $350 on sale I would go ahead and bite on a second just... 3.0 out of 5 stars Worth It, May 12, 2012

This card is exspensive. I am a recently converted PC gamer. I have seen the light. While I cannot give you performance numbers like most of you techno-tards would like, I can say this thing works, is fast and does not make as much noise as people are saying. I can hear it in game, yes, but it is not loud by any stretch. So far i have played Crysis 2 ultra with DX11, BF3 Ultra, Withcher 2 Ultra, SWOTOR highest, GTA 4 highest and all these games are smooth smooth smooth.

I payed 400 dollars for this card on amazon. I do not regret it.

I decided on the EVGA SC card because i am new to PC gaming and don't like to void warranties through OCing expensive equipment. If you are like me, i suggest you do the same.

This card is badass. Go on take the jump.

Also i love the way this card looks in my case!

    ***UPDATE***

This card started to putter out just after a few days. Fan became SUPER loud and frame rates started to... Read more
